The Graduate (1967)

The Graduate is one of my favorite movies of all times. The first time I saw it, I immediately rewound it and watched it again. D Ho is just so monotone and young in this movie, it’s hilarious. He doesn’t handle any situation well. My favorite scene is when his dad (William Daniels) comes up to him as he is “drifting” and says:

Dad: Have you thought about graduate school?

Ben: No.

Dad: Would you mind telling me then, what those four years of college were for? What was the point of all that hard work?

Ben: Ya got me.

Anne Bancroft is amazing as Mrs. Robinson, the trifling bitch, and Katherine Ross is beautiful as Elaine. Great performances all around by the cast, really. Look for a young Richard Dreyfuss in the Berkeley scenes….
